Women of all walks of life around the globe have been cutting their own hair since the Covid-19 pandemic started. I was actually in the process of growing out my hair and had the beginnings of a nice bob going on. I can’t remember at what point my frustration won out but it happened pretty […]

Well Hello There!
Welcome to my little home on the web. In July of 2020 I consolidated all my blogs into one location at BigGirlBlue.com.
The process of tidying up and organizing has been a bit frustrating but I’m slowing working through it. It is like moving into a new home and having someone else unpack for you.
Thank you so much for visiting and bearing with me during this process. I have provided some stuff for you to peruse below and some of it is even new! There is also a handy search button above.
Before you go please follow me on my social media platforms listed in the sidebar.
Happy New Year!

Racing Stripes
This weekend I decided that Julep’s Isla and Cover Girl’s Grapevine should meet. I think it was a pretty good collaboration and that the sheen of these two polishes work well together. I decided to paint the purple on in two blocks leaving a clear strip down the middle for Isla to fill in. I […]

Brain Exercises
Strengthen the Mind Body Connection In 2004 I had a few grand mal seizures. Somehow during the first one I ended up falling out of bed and breaking my back. The whole incident is a long story and I’m only mentioning it for context. My brain was pretty foggy for a few days afterwards. And […]

Under the Dome by Stephen King
A Quick Review, Sort Of I have been reading Under the Dome by Stephen King (Amazon.com / Amazon.ca) for about five months. Maybe longer. In general, I tend to be a slow reader but not usually this slow. I finished reading the book! It is a huge weight off my shoulders. And my wrists. Seriously, […]

The gist of it is simple. I give you the start of a line/story and you continue on. This week: Sandra Arbuckle took a controlled breath before she tentatively lowered her hand into the murky…
