It’s been overcast and dark all morning which makes it feel like it should be bedtime instead of the middle of the day. Today, I decided to go with something cozy from plus size clothing retailer Alight.
In their clearance section they have a pair of Viceroy Velour pants for $13.99 (click image for detail). What a bargain! (she says with funny accent). Now if you look at the description it is listed as “green”. Maybe it’s my monitor but this looks brown to me, so I’m treating it as such.
Since I work at home I’m a big lounger and these pants/top are right up my ally. And they are machine washable so that makes life easier. I definitely wouldn’t work out in these pants like the description suggests; Hello? it’s velour. Thinking about working out makes me sweat never mind working out in velour.
This is my favourite cut of pant and I like the flat seams. I think all elastic waist pants should have a draw string for extra cinching. If you like your lounge wear to match you can get the matching Viceroy Velour Hoodie for $17.99. I’d wear a simple cotton white tee under this.
Happy lounging!

Loungewear is always great! Any time I put on comfy pants, it feels like it should be a day of rain outside and movies and reading inside.
Thanks for your comment about the hats. I, too, have trouble finding one that fits right (big, curly hair). But some of the newsboy hats I’ve tried do fit. I just need to find them in a store and not online! Pinkham Millinery, who made the last hat, is based out of Portland, Oregon. Dayna Pinkham makes hats to your measurements; I’m not sure how much she costs.
Have a nice, non-dreary, day.
