Retro Swimwear
Last week Forbes magazine announced that teenie weenie bikinis are out and retro swimwear is in. I don’t know many plus size women who are into bikinis per say but I do know we have long been familiar with the concept of retro swimwear.
If you are into two pieces then high waisted bottoms are a must. Not because we are plus size; it is part of the retro comeback. Other retro aspects to look for? Stripes, bows, ruching and halter necklines. Not necessarily all on the same suit.
My top pick for plus size retro swimwear comes from Always for Me, one of the leaders in plus size swimwear, and it so happens, retro swimwear. The Twist Front Bandeau comes in one piece and two piece.
The one pieces has a nice selection of colors: rose, coral, aqua, turquoise, brown and black. It comes in sizes 16 to 26 for a reasonable $79.
The two-piece comes in black or rose for $89. Both suits can be worn with or without the halter strap.
Always for Me has many other retro styles to choose from.

Hi Steph,
Thanks for your comment. There’s a link right under the post (beside second picture) that takes you directly to the brown retro swimsuit, under “topic link” and “get your own…”. And there is a size 16. Have fun!
