Moo Business Cards Review

Last month I decided to break down and get some new business cards as mine were pretty out dated. I have used VistaPrint numerous times before but have wanted to give Moo a try after seeing many online friends blissfully show them off.

If you have never heard of Moo it is a paper products company out of London, England with a division in the US. As luck would have it Moo was having a 30% off sale at the time I made my order.

The Moo website and ordering process is fairly straightforward. You create an account, upload your graphics, enter the text and the site does the rest. The Moo site provides previews of everything (front and back) before the order is confirmed for payment and printing.

The first time I placed my order there was a malfunction with the Paypal system and the site froze. I wasn’t charged or anything like that but the website wouldn’t let me re-place my order. I was a little frustrated because I was going to lose the three day window of the sale. I emailed Moo with the error so they could fix it but assumed I wouldn’t be able to make the sale. On Monday I was emailed by a customer service rep who apologized profusely about the error, informed me it had been fixed and offered me an extension coupon for the sale. I immediately went over and placed my order with no further issues.

What I bought:

  • 50 business cards with five designs
  • 100 minicards for Book-in-a-Week.com
  • 100 minicards for PlusShe.com
  • a pink mini card holder

The cards arrived a few weeks later and I was thoroughly impressed from the moment I opened the box. The business cards and moo cards all come in their own VERY sturdy storage container that is made from “recycled pulp” and is 100% recyclable. The cards are all made from “sustainable forests”.

The first I noticed when I took the cards out of the box was how heavy the card stock for them is. They have a matte look but are very smooth to touch. Inside each box are two file dividers so you can keep the cards you collect from others separate from your own.

While I really like the business cards and the fact that I could include up to ten different designs (I did five) I absolutely love the Moo Minicards. They are a perfect size to give the basic contact information and message and are most economical. They are the same length of a regular business hard but half the height.

The Moo pink minicard holder has a key ring attached but instead of attaching it to my keys I attached it to the zipper on my purse which works perfectly for me. It holds about ten cards. If I were going to a conference or workshop I’d probably take the storage box to have more cards on hand.

I highly recommend Moo for their service and their products. To take advantage of their next promotion visit their website and sign up for their newsletter. Besides business and mini cards Moo prints things like sticker books, postcards, and greeting cards.

Enclosed in my order were coupons for me to pass along for 15% off for new customers: ZQW3QW. If that one doesn’t work also give 2RB2CK a try.

  1. Hi Moe, I’m a fan of Moo too (sounds funny). I reckon the best thing about them is the different shapes/size cards you can get to mix things up a little. Very cool.
