I don’t like football. But I love football movies. Especially if they have an inspirational story to go along with it. Today’s suggestion is actually involves making two lenses. The first lens is from the perspective of someone who actually loves the game of football. The second lens is from the perspective of someone who loves footballs movies. Why two? Because these lenses are based on two different perspectives; while some movie likes may overlap, overall the type of viewer will probably be as different as the movie.
A few of my favorite football movies (ok, it’s more than a few): Rudy Remember the Titans, We are Marshall, The Replacements, Jerry McGuire, Varsity Blues, Radio, The Program, All the Right Moves, The Longest Yard, Any Given Sunday. If I had to pick a top three it would be Rudy, Remember the Titans, and The Replacements (in that order).
What to include:
- Watch the movies and include a text module for each movie with a 200 to 300 word mini review of what each movie has to offer.
- If you decide to go with a top ten movies include two Amazon modules, one after the fifth movie and one after the tenth. Each with the five previous movies in thumbnail format.
- Include at least 3 black box modules with football movie quotes.
- On the movie game lover lens include a brief explanation on the key points of the games.
- A guestbook for readers to leave their comments on favorite football movie picks.
