I was sent three samples from Neoteric Cosmetics for Montagne Jeunesse relaxation cleansing masks. These affordable masks are available online at their main site or your local drugstore. There are over twenty flavors to choose from and they can range in price from $1.99 to $2.50 per single use packet.
Passion Peel Off — This was the first cleansing mask I tried from the trio sent and I was kind of disappointed that this pomegranate (and a few other fruits) was not the bright purple color that the photo on the package displayed. The fine print on the back said that the colors may not appear as shown but I definitely was not expecting to find a dark pink gel when it is depicted as bright creamy purple one. Color aside. This peel off mask is a lot of fun and peels off almost in one piece with no leftover residue like I have gotten from more expensive peel off cosmetics. It also did a great job of shrinking my pores! There was a noticeable difference with one treatment.
Fudge Sauna — This creamy mask smells good enough to eat. Seriously, I had to fight the urge not to lick my fingers. This mask looked like the image on front and was very thick and sticky. When applied it felt like I was putting on warm lotion from a heated appliance — very cool effect! This self-heating mask was made with Mediterranean clay to suck out the impurities and moisturize. I felt silky soft afterward.
Anti-Stress Mud Pac — This blue mud mask was lovely to put on and had a nice naturally cooling effect. I did find the scent to be stronger and more heavily scented than I would have liked but I still enjoyed the experience.
I have sensitive skin and found all three masks to be surprisingly gentle and non-irritating to my skin. Time wise, to get the full benefit you need to put aside 10 to 20 minutes which can easily be spent shaving legs or reading a magazine or soaking in the tub if you are a multi-tasker.
If you like to have a little pampering but cannot afford the spa prices then I highly recommend the Montagne Jeunesse face masks. And an additional plus is they are “non-animal tested”. I really enjoyed the three masks I tried and am looking forward to trying out a few more flavors as well as the hair and leg/feet coolers the next time I am at the drug store.
