Father’s Day Prompts
I never grew up with a father but had many father figures like neighbors, teachers, law enforcement. I was kidding on the last one. Father’s day is a great day to appreciate all the father figures in your life. The date varies but is typically celebrated on the third Sunday in June.
Here are some prompts to work through your feelings on fathers:
Day One: Write about the first thing that comes to mind about your father.
Day Two: List seven qualities of a wonderful father.
Day Three: Write about someone who was like a father to you.
Day Four: What activity did you most enjoy doing with your father (or father figure)?
Day Five: If you only had one day left to spend with your father, how would you like to spend it.
Day Six: What was your father’s favourite car?
Day Seven: What childhood memories did your father share with you?
Responses are not meant to be one sentence answers, elaborate on your answers. Meditate, reflect and enjoy. You can find more writing prompts at The Write Prompts blog.
