Packaways Product Review

Packaways are an American made reusable plastic storage option. The company sent me two samples of their classic multipurpose storage boxes for review (one neon pink and one neon green) but they also have under the bed and tote options (also in pretty colors).
The boxes arrive flat and to say they are easy to put together is an understatement. The one piece unit is practically pop-up. I say practically because it does require some minor manipulation but even without peeking at the instructions first I was able to do it within seconds.

As you can see, the classic storage container is designed with the lid attached like a regular cardboard box so there is no worry about misplacing the lid while it is stored. When the box is not in use it can be easily collapsed again by pulling a few flaps, flattened, and slid out of the way. The boxes have a corrugated designs reminiscent to traditional cardboard boxes:

The boxes are incredibly sturdy and I did not even get a paper cut like I have on some of the fold-able cardboard boxes I have put together. They look great for the fashion conscious diva (a.k.a. clothes horse) who is tired of the old rubber style storage. The only downside for this style is the little holes in the top of the lid once it has been folded shut allowing for dust to enter.

…and Jeff used the extra large neon green one to store some items in his office at school. He said he did not look at the instructions either and was equally surprised at the strength of something so easily put together.

The boxes have an white square of erasable surface that I think would be perfect for listing Summer Clothes, Summer Bags, Winter Clothes, Winter Handbags, His, Hers etc. They can be wiped clean and relabelled each season if necessary. The squares are large enough to put bullets too — making searching for the favorite bag or pumps easier. I do not have a dry erase marker at the moment which is why it is still blank in the photos.

Packaways come in four colors (white, green, pink, or blue) and range in price from $8.95 to $10.10 depending on size (12, 16, and 21 Gallon). If you buy different colors or sizes they will still stack neatly because they have the same base dimensions.
