What’s hot and what’s not…
The Christmas party season is upon us and with only one shopping weekend until Christmas day (which means even less until the Christmas party) it is time to hit the shops for that perfect party outfit. There is a certain standard to uphold in the Christmas party outfit stakes, it must be glamorous and have a certain sparkle to it. You can afford to be a little more outrageous at this time of year and there is no such thing as being overdressed!
It Is Time to Hit the Shops
Now you have convinced yourself that the party season is close enough to warrant some serious shopping do you find yourself disappointed when every outfit you find that you love seems to only be available in the minute sizes 6 to 8? It is the same when it comes to the shoe sale where those heels you have just got to have are only available in three sizes smaller or four sizes bigger. There is no point trying to squeeze into a smaller size when you are going to be enjoying plenty of festive treats so look for one of those perfect evening dresses in sizes 14 to 32 this winter.
Choosing the Right Shoes
Shoes are an important accessory to any outfit but never more so than to the Christmas party outfit. You need to balance the right mixture of style and comfort as you do not want to be the one being carried home by your work colleagues at the end of the night because your beautiful yet dangerous five inch heels have left you crippled. Neither do you want to be the wet blanket who cano not (or will not) get up and have a dance because their new shoes leave them looking more like a strictly come dancing knock out than having ‘the moves like Jagger’.
Sparkle and Shine
It is the season to sparkle and shine! Each year the diamante and glitter make an appearance in some form or another and this Christmas they are bigger and better than ever. Gorgeous embellishments are cropping up on shirts and dresses all over the catwalk and the high-street is taking note of incorporating shine into its fabrics with a fantastic range of Jacquard material.
Once you have got your perfect outfit ready the last thing to do is start enjoying the festive season so start filling the calendar with wonderful winter parties now!
