Igigi sent me the Miuccia jacket from their plus size separates collection. This multi-fabric jacket combines a comfortable knit black on arms and back with a classic wool inset in front. I loved the fit of this jacket which I decided to wear with jeans (and a bright green cotton cami) instead of dress pants like it is styled on the website. The jacket really does work for casual or career.
Jeff and I went to one of the local forts on the long weekend — we made a day of it — short drive, sight-seeing, and lunch. It was a beautiful day. For the most part, I found the jacket warm enough on its own (I had a cami underneath).
Here is a close up of the large buttons, the wool with pink thread and a slight sparkle (love), and the mud on my jeans from when I fell. That’s right, total face plant. Wish I had it on video. I was looking up at the black partially open shutter while walking on soft ground in two inch boots and fell into a soft spot. Luckily it was grassy and soft. Also lucky I was not the one carrying the camera.
We went through a short tunnel to the waterfront and it was a tad cooler there so I had to close up the collar around my neck.
I love the overall look and feel of this jacket. I found the collar to be a bit bulky when we sat down to lunch and had to keep pressing it out of the way. With the cami on underneath I probably could have opened it but did not think of it at the time. I would not want to wear more than a cami under this jacket, even though the wool is a small section it is warm — but I was not uncomfortable; I could not wear this if it was a full wool jacket.
Like everything else I have from Igigi, this jacket is well made. The Miuccia jacket is available in sizes 12 to 30 for $108 and Igigi ships internationally.

I love the look of the jacket but the wool would drive me crazy! Great pics!!
You know, I thought it would me too as I am a bit sensitive around neck area but it did not. It is actually quite soft. Generally I get red and itchy with wool but did not have this reaction.
