Ghostly Nail Art
I was feeling in the early-Halloween spirit the first week of October and this nail art idea from an ad in a Nail It! magazine really spoke to me, at least the ghost part did. It was a fun evolution.
Working from this concept I first played with what I would put on each nail and how the eyes would look. After a few days I finally decided on the open white and googly eyes — more cute than scary. During my practice I tried to keep things the approximate size of what I would do on the nail.
I so need more practice making circles! I used a black Sally Hansen Nail Art pen for my little ghostly faces and nail tip shadows. For the white sheets, instead of going white I went with an off-white pale Lavender Cloud, also by Sally Hansen — it totally looks white though. Unless you put it up to something blue then you can barely see the tint. My thinking was that most sheets wouldn’t be super white by the time someone cut holes in them for eyes anyway and I really like the polish.
My favorite ghost of is of course on my middle finger.
